Following the acceptance in the China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database back on June 1st,2020, we are pleased to announce that, on June 10th, the Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science (JGGS) is now also indexed in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), the independent, community-curated online directory that indexes open access, peer-reviewed journals.
The DOAJ was launched in 2003 at Lund University, Sweden, with 300 open access journals. Today, the independent database contains ca. 12000 open access journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social science, and humanities.
For many, the DOAJ is an invaluable resource for assessing the authenticity of a journal or a publisher. Any journal that wishes to be included must apply through a stringent application process, demonstrating that it adheres to Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing among other criteria.
We remind our readers that the Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science is open for submissions on an ongoing basis. Currently, the journal does not apply any Article Processing Charges for submitting authors whose paper has been accepted for publication.
